Stardust to Storytellers is a multi-layered, interdisciplinary curriculum that blends science, history, literature, grammar, writing, and even the arts into one connected topic.
Main Focus – Science
The main science lesson is offered at two levels. Level 1 was designed for early elementary, while level 2 was meant for upper elementary and middle school learners.
Interdisciplinary Connections
- Mythology and Literature: Optional readings connect scientific concepts with mythology and stories from cultures around the world
- Language Arts: Science-themed grammar and writing activities. Many exercises are based in "The Writing Revolution" methodologies
- Fine Arts and Music: Many weeks also include an art or music connection.
Rabbit Holes
For learners who want to dig deeper, each unit includes “rabbit holes”. These are optional books, videos, guiding questions, and additional topics to explore. These encourage self-directed exploration and family learning beyond the core lessons.
Overall Approach
Stardust to Storytellers makes prehistory meaningful by weaving together science, story, and creativity, helping learners of different ages understand not just what happened but why it matters.
What to Expect Each Lesson
- A live zoom meeting with slideshow
- Hands-on, creative activities (project-based, open-ended, adaptable)
- Optional read alouds and book suggestions
